From a Chemist to his Love

O my beloved
A perfect paragon for beauty you are
As your hips increase across the period
And decreases down the group

My enthalpy increases
When you're right by my side
I'll be there to save you from subliming
Am delighted that you decant your love for me

Your smile
Makes my heart obtain a stable octate configuration
And my face go exothermic
My acidity you neutralise with your basicity

Your beauty is fleeting
Very reactive you are, like potassium
Your EMF is positive
And your touch is like a paint on my heart
Preventing it from rusting

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
