Frognaut Not Poem by Ima Ryma

Frognaut Not

Ever since a tadpole, this frog
Wanted to rocket to the moon.
I dreamed of such a travelogue.
Such a trip became opportune,
When on Wallop Island nearby,
I heard NASA was about to
Do a launch, and so of course, I
Hopped and crawled and climbed a whole slew,
Till I made it to the nose cone.
I saw a blaze and heard a blast.
I was caught up in a no frog's zone,
And off the rocket I was cast.

As I fell back to Earth, I thought,
Next time maybe - frog astronaut.
