friendship comes and friendship goes
like the washing away of sand by the sea
like the strong wind blows
and the way birds fly and flea
though we may never be together
you will always remain in my heart
for all time, forever and ever
in my life, you are a special part
Though I may not have said it a lot
I love you and you mean a lot to me
you gave me hope, something to be sought
you didn't hate me for me, but loved for who i turned to be
you gave me a shoulder whenever i needed
you wiped away all those sad and grieved tears
a plant of friendship with you, i seeded
you brought light and scared away all fears
you never thought me to be stupid or dumb
especially when it came to idiotic guys and boys
you helped me feel again when i was numb
you always shared your food and toys
friendship comes and friendship goes
like walking away and saying goodbye
I wish there could be some more time
knowing that one day we will part, makes me cry
like the stormy wind blows
and the times of sand are swept away
friends come and friends go
but you are one of a kind
and you have left your imprint behind
so no matter where i go, i will always remember
when we first met and our last September
