Friendship—a Gift

Friendship is
A great gift.
When you’re down—
It’s a lift.

There forever
(Not just a while) ,
True friends would go
The last mile.

Friends are there
When trouble brews,
And happy moments
Are a few.

In friendship,
There’ll be mistakes,
But that’s a thing
Of give and take.

Hold to friendship—
My advice.
The benefits dwarf
The sacrifice.

Under thy long locks thou may'st have the scall
But after my making thou write more true!
