Friends, Time's Healers Poem by Arno Le Roux

Friends, Time's Healers

'Friends, Time's Healers'

As the sand funnels away following after departed
Chafing our eyes, events never accepted
We call back the sand to where we perceive
Begging for yesterday's tight hugs achieve

But the sand is relentless, it takes and takes
Designed to ignore our varied dislikes
If you've met in the darkest of all a winged creature
Sharing your version of pain a timeless feature

You've gone through as much as humans may weep
When secrets and pain they willingly keep
These deeds are written in fading pages of old
And chiseled on pillars when Atlantis went cold
