Friends Forever Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Friends Forever

If one day you feel like crying, call me
I don't promise that I can make you laugh,
but I can cry with you
If one day you feel like running away,
don't be afraid to call me
I can't promise that I can make you stop,
but I can run away with you
And if one day, you call, and there is no
answer, come to me fast, maybe I need you
If I ever ignored you, I'm sorry
If I ever made you feel bad, or put you
down, I'm sorry
Things happening in our lives, are good
and bad
I'm writing this today, what if tomorrow
never comes
What if I never have a chance to give you
a hug, and say goodbye
