Friends Poem by Tanya Roy

Friends

Friends-O-Friends,
as they say-
April and may,
my unbreakable Day.
Shoulders,
I can lean onto,
anywhere, anytime
bursting into crazy
tears and laughters,
without anything
to say.
Here, they stay
in our heart
like a water in a bay
in no array.
All crisp and sweet,
sour and tasty,
our boat of
friendship-as they pray-
sailing together,
and never away.
Friends-as they say
Friends-O-friends,
never leave us alone
Are bliss,
thanks to Him,
that we have
someone to miss.
A source of optimism,
with lil' sarcasm,
Beside, they lay
in our triumphs and disasters
like stars in clusters,
in our good and hard times
like in poem, they're rhymes altogether
and as I say it again-
with aye-sarcasm
they're our life-line-
as they say-
like cigar is for ashtray.

Friends-O-criends,
our best supporters
and betrayers,
yet lovers-as they say
the flickering flame
of candles may leave them
but our friends

with friends like this,
and let them never to go away.
They be with us forever and forever-till eternity
in our hearts and soul,
they walk in our life's journey
with our hands together sway,
even if have nothing to pay.
Let us pray,
in our life,
beside they lay,
and forever they stay,
or our life will turn gray.
