Friday Night Vitriol Poem by Matthew Holloway

Friday Night Vitriol

It's another night
the weeks tend to blend
into a nothingness of routine
and the drink which flows serves
to absent the soul a little
numb the mind and all else
little excuses pass
and time, meaningless
draws out the next morning
