Fresh Rose Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Fresh Rose

Rating: 5.0

I proposed a proposal
That needed speedy disposal
You were pressing hard
But before that I wanted a word

Have we to promise before hand?
I posed a question as friend
You were startled but maintained calm
"No necessary" but no harm too

I realized its importance
She had told it more than once
She seemed sincere and honest
I thought I should also deliver the best

She was like fresh rose
Wealthy yet simply chosen me
As her partner
It was exciting for commoner

"Yes life must go on"
I was now flown
To her concept
I promised her for words to be kept

There was no room for passion
It was purely simple relation
We wanted to give fair trial
There was nothing more for denial
