I sure hope you can see us,
From your posts up in heaven.
I sure hope you can hear us,
All you brave men and women.

'Cause you need to know we salute you,
And thank you extra in many ways,
Those whose sacrifice was ultimate,
And those who served but survived another day.

We walk this earth with freedom to express, and freedom to complain,
We own our land, and travel as we please,
We speak our minds, with voice, computers, and print,
We pray to God, fly our flags, because YOU handed us our freedom keys!

So if you see us from up in heaven,
Please know that it's not only today,
But always in our thankful hearts,
We remember you and praise you every day! !
