Freedom Is My Wish Poem by Jackie Unknown

Freedom Is My Wish

Rating: 4.3

Looking up at the sky,
I wonder;
Why are you so free?
Standing there on the tulip tree.

You are calm,
Without a care.
You sing as you like,
When hunger you strike

You fly as you please,
Ever so free.
However I am trapped,
Within the laws of society.

Attached with chains,
Unbearable pain.
Life feels like
An endless game.

Is freedom real,
Can it ever be gained
Time is running out,
I can feel my life being drained.

I despise you birds,
I cannot win this game
But if I do,
To be like you is the prize I shall claim.

I really love this piece of art. Beautiful writing, I often envy the freedom of birds as well.
