Freedom Poem by Sarah Gabriel

Freedom

Rating: 5.0

You poke and prod
You laugh and smile
It's like a rod
that stabs so vile
It hurts it stings
I want it to end
To soar with wings
And not to bend
I am me
and nothing more
so leave me be
for i am sore
Refusal to cry
Refusal to give
It's all a lie
I WANT TO LIVE
a simple life
A life that's clear
There is no strife
That time is near
I keep my hope
my inward strength
So for now i cope
Standing at arms length
FREEDOM FREEDOM
is in my breath
As I stare at you
with eyes of death

I give you a round of applause ma'am. You took my life and you put it in a few words.
