Free Yourself Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Free Yourself

The Niether of us are happy
Your at liberty to leave
Truth is for a long time an emotion hasn't been felt
Does it ever cross your mind?
Do you ever wonder?
The body knows no pleasure
And my soul has dealt with pain
Now all cried out from long suffering
Numb and lifeless.A faint spirit fades into the wind
Death becomes us, A mere shadow of perfection
We cheat ourselves a life without pain
Why hold on? And onto what are we holding?
Staying defeats the purpose to ever be happy
Can you not see that honestly?
The nightmare can be over
Just let go there ain't no need in forcing me to stay
Don't you want to find happiness, with me you can't achieve that
Only an unpleassant emotion known to man as hurt and pain
To be freed from agony revitalizes the soul so, Free Yourself
