Free Spirit

You are such
a free spirit,
my love-

I see your soul
and feel its touch
every night
I lay down to rest


I genuinely feel,
your soul-
my love,
flying high
in the open skies
in light and in love-
searching, wanting
with passion and desire
-all there is to know
all there is to have
-knowledge and discovery
sitting, waiting,

In this book
of life

I know, I truly know-

I will never be able
to fill the emptiness
that still lingers
upon your heart,
I hear it speak-
to me

My precious love,
you are a free spirit
souring in the darkness
like an eagle
still looking
for more.
