Free Poem by Nakita Ball

Free

I gave you everything
That I held dear to me
You made me think my nightmare
was over, finally I was free.

Shortly after I realized I
was wrong
When you said 'Forever'
You didn't mean very long

Now I'm left with blood, sweat,
and tears
And a Broken heart that may heal threw
the years

I should have listened
To what they said
I should have stopped
Calling you friend

But I was in love
Young and Foolish you see
I was blind to the world
In front of me

I felt safe
enclosed in you
I couldn't say goodbye
To a life with you

Now Im left with
blood, sweat, and tears
And my empty cheast
filled with memories from 'our' years

With you I felt everything
Now your my nightmare
I will never be Free.
