'Freak' Poem by Jim Boone

'Freak'

Friggin weirdos
Looking like that
Thinking like that
Who do you think you are?
F
R
E
A
K
!
Rushing to judgment
Backing up to understanding
Casting verbal stones
Wanting to break body parts
Willing to end the life of a
F
R
E
A
K
!
Everyone’s tagged someone a “freak”
We all do the big stupid sometime
Above our freak-out atmosphere
Great splashes of color
Are freakin the sky
Waiting for a turnover.

Kiss today adios
And try to do better
Tomorrow
Freak.
