Francis Of Assisi Poem by Daniel McDonagh

Francis Of Assisi

Rating: 3.0

Begging alms to provide alms
For the poor, the starving, the homeless,
Angels would feed his loving heart
To cure the ailing torment of lepers.
His strength, was his love for Our Lord
Who spoke to him while he slept,
He carried the pain of Christ’ crucified body;
It was then that Francis wept.
