Fragrance at first light...? ? ...(repost) |

A polecat sits upon the lawn... takes wary sips of breaking dawn
She's seen my face behind the shutter... her ears now twitch...her nostrils flutter
These, the thoughts I sent to her... to calm the heart 'neath striped fur,
'Dear frightened critter-mom, I see your burrow's just beneath that tree... your tiny, sightless little kits are safe in there..... please... have no fits of fear that cause you turn to me, your rear.... be not afraid.... know...see.... your nest of babes I'd not assail... so please, oh, please..... don't raise your tail to let your spray of stink a-loose....... I've run out of tomato juice! ! '
With that said, I slip-slunked away.
(ahhhhhh...just violets scent the day.....)
delilah contrapunctal.... yes, that's how I intended to spell it.........

Such glorious fur and such an abominable stench (I'm told) . Your story is sweet (and true, no doubt) , I'm glad your polecat had faith in your words and left the air sweet. '...takes wary sips of breaking dawn' is particularly elegant. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ |
