Fragments Of Dreams Poem by Mia Anna Vandutchess

Fragments Of Dreams

Tap tap tap
The sound of water
Falling from the gutter to the ground
As the rain stops
Cleaning the area,
From dirt and dusk,
Washing away my sadness

As the cricket sings
I waited on the verandah
Waiting for dawn to break
I heard the birds singing
In the early morning,
Eating the worms from the ground
As the sun slowly rising
I cuddle and sing

Memories are there but are kept hidden
For the eyes are meant to see not hear,
As the images came to view,
You're there inside,
Keeping my sorrows aside,
The warmth of home calls my name
And your voice speaks of the truth and the lies of men today.

I won't forget you
As your my fragment of my dreams
Whose pushing me to move on
And leave the past
I yearned to forget.

I would not forget
You kindness and love
That you gave me
So I will not let the rain takes away my dreams and memories
For all it belongs
To you
