Fragments Poem by Spencer Zimmerman

Fragments

We're born fragmented
Crawling over space and time
The goal being wholeness
Lest we divide

So what am I in this?
Anything but a pawn's life
Lifting my eyes up and
Allowing thought to manifest

To balance harmoniously
The trials must be embraced
The suffering will come forth
Beckoning tests and future fates

And to the utmost passionate
Impressionable lowlife,
Inwardly develop an outlook
Behold your luminous self…
