Fragmented Families. Poem by alex sarich

Fragmented Families.

Their grief is everlasting
hope is their understanding
sweet, innocent, young
and old once graced this
fine Welsh land of ours.

Their memories will
never fade, their words,
thoughts will be treasured
throughout all life.

Their hearts belong
in the valley of song
a lost generation
with no explanation.

These families have a history
with lost ones so the tragedy
and trauma won't hinder
their will to build their lives again.

A disaster never was forgotten
but shared with grief and
memories of loved ones
forevermore, Amen
