Hold out your hands
and I'll give you my heart
but only if you promise
you won't tear it apart

Now this heart of mine
has been broken before
it's been taped back together
but it can't take much more

Please don't break it
I don't think that I could take it
so please don't break my heart

I've fallen so hard
yes, I've fallen for you
and you don't understand
what this hearts been through

and you said that you weren't careless
like those stupid other guys
you said you'd keep my heart safe
when I looked into your eyes

I trusted you completely
when I handed over my heart
because you swore up and down
you wouldn't tear it apart

But all the things you led me to believe
were just a bunch of lies
you were just as bad
as those stupid other guys

I asked you not to break it
and I know that I can't take this
you completely broke my heart
