Fragile Poem by Luce Darwin

Fragile

My vision has faded
but I still see you
your eyes
like lapis lazuli
watching
from within sunbeams
in the mosaics
behind my eyelids.
Here I am
fragile
running to hide.
While you
an angel
sitting high
watch me falling
with an esoteric
look in your eye.

You never do catch me.
