Foxy Lion Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Foxy Lion

Foxy lion

She had taught as teacher
Teacher in our village
I heard of demeanour
But never could see her
As a child was too young.

Time as does, flew and
She got old, I was young
Saw her sit powerless
Her place veranda
I spoke grooming:
"You taught all but not me
Therefore you must pay me
The teaching you owe me…"

We both laughed; and others
Enlighted she met a smarter
Student she could have
Felt she could talk therefore said
Of the past, of had been
Having had a tough life
And how lives a teacher
She revealed why she left
And why chose ‘immigrate'
Clever, kind, mentioned:
"Will teach you what is right
And with it tell you all
Must open eyes and mind
Think deeply, add to will…"

After these she stopped
Was honest and was right
Words broke my poor mind
Her words are some carvings
On the rock in the cave of ancient:
"Need can change a lion to bad fox! "
