Former Friend Poem by James Harris

Former Friend

Rating: 5.0

You're not the person that you think you are,
Your light does not shine at all like a star.
You are quite cruel, quite petty and mean,
Your very presence to me is completely obscene.

To think that I once called you friend
My total trust in you could never bend
But that friendship was just one grand lie
How I just wish now you'd crawl off and die.

All that I knew of you was built on our trust
What was sweet as wine is now turned to dust.
Honesty and loyalty are two things you lack
All this I know from the knife in my back.

So this is the end of the road for you and me
We're finished together no matter your pleas.
I shant say good-bye to you or spare even a wave
Nor waste any real effort to spit on your grave.
