Forgotten Poems Poem by W.I. Stoneberger

Forgotten Poems

Rating: 5.0

There are things
I keep forgetting
to put into my poems:

certain slants of light
colors that cannot be named
shadows that fall across me as I sleep
words that the wind has taught me.

I keep meaning to capture them,
letting them twirl like falling leaves
through my mind,
letting them get lost
in the swirl
of surviving.
