~forgotten Key Of Mystery~ Poem by E Nigma

~forgotten Key Of Mystery~

As I slip into the sea of sleepless nights
This plight Is never ending
I seized a dream for which I had to fight
The night is unforgiving

I turned a page a door appeared
I opened up to all my fears
From in this cage I poke and peer
The stairs descend, but I'm still here

I lit a candle watched the flame
The air it greets it all the same
Flicked into a dance distressed
The second guess, uneasy steps

The smoke it forms a silhouette
Within the shadows you can bet
The hand that holds the mirrors near
Illusions cold and quite unclear

Round and down and down I go
Just where this ends I do not know
Echoes from the breathing depths
Has me on edge, I must confess

I'm the monster, I'm your guide
From the side you've never known
I remember, their eyes remind
Their muffled cries want to go home

I feed them hope and set them free
Poisoned their souls along the way
And as they climb they meet despair
They've known not fear, but I'll show them here
