Forgotten Friendship
You once meant everything to me, what happened now?
All of a sudden, how did everything come tumbling down?
I wish I never loved you,
I wish we never met,
I wish I never cared for you,
At least, that would get rid of the memories stuck inside my head.
Thank you for showing me that some people enter your life as a lesson,
Rather than a blessing,
Thank you for showing me that not everything lasts,
For now you are just a significant landmark of my past.
Time can change all things, people too,
Because it has definitely changed you,
Whether it was for better or for worse,
Our memories are just a nostalgic curse.
So, goodbye..Again, I say Adieu,
I wish I could leave behind our memories as I walk away from you.

the past cannot be changed, it could be avoided but if you couldn't avoid it, accept the fact that you lived it and move on. Good one there Ayesha; some people are lessons - yes - but without such lessons our future may be worse than the past, which means that they are blessings too for a better future.... God bless you
Yes, Ayesha, I think some people are lessons much more so than blessings. But the lessons can be a blessing. Walk away but retain the lesson. Thanks for sharing Peace
