Forgotten Poem by caroline Derrevere

Forgotten

Rating: 5.0

Everybody feels it.
And it really truly sucks.
It makes you feel rotten,
To be told you were forgotten.
People swear that they’ll remember,
How could they forget,
But you aren’t ever surprised,
When they say they did.
You try to do your best,
So this pain isn’t felt,
But let me be honest,
That never truly helps.
This is the cold hard truth,
They always forget,
Screw what they said you meant,
And screw everything you did.
Forgetting is a way of life,
It’s what people do,
This is what I tell myself,
As I try forgetting you.
