Forgiven Poem by Newo Enec

Forgiven

When the snow falls
I dream of what we'd be
And when reality calls
I awaken but still see
But I'll listen for your voice
As hard as I can
You'd think I had no choice
But I'm guilty cause I ran
When I see you again
I'll beg for forgiveness
And even then
I doubt all of this
When around my shoulders
Is a cape of your shadow
It smothers my identity
I want to let go now
Just help me to release
All this poison bottled up
Just help me, help me, please
Escape from guilty smut
For I have been forgiven
And don't need your consent
I've been forgiven
I've accepted what was meant
