Forgive As You Have Been Forgiven - Acrostic #3 Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Forgive As You Have Been Forgiven - Acrostic #3

Forgive as you have been forgiven
Overcome the pain by setting it free
Remember He paid for all of it
Grace and mercy for you and me
In your heart release the burden
Verily you have the keys to the prison
Each bitter memory kept you forsaken.

Ask not for vengeance or retribution
Seek that the offender be blessed

Yesterday can never be brought back
Only nagging scars rob you of happiness
Until you let go, peace you will always lack.

Heaven is here where you are
As He promised He will never leave you
Vast is His forgiveness, it is not far
Each one can be touched by Him, it's true.

Be at peace with yourself by forgiving
Eternity is too long for silent anger
Enjoy the freedom of the sun shining!
No heaviness carried now and hereafter.

Forgive and you are also forgiven
Offer it up to the Past Who is waiting
Resolve to forget and never look back
Gladly receive the relief you've been seeking
It all depends on you and your choice
Vexations only make life hard for living
Everything will pass, it's time to rejoice!
Now let go of it, and go with Forgiving.
