Forgetfulness

I forgot I was
The one who convinced you
To pursue your dreams
And achieve your goals.
You forgot I was
The one who cheered you on
When you felt
You couldn't take it
Anymore.
But most of all
I always forget
I was the only one
Who really loved you
Enough to
Get out of my own way
And bring you happiness.
