Forget Me Not Poem by Reginald Ruwende

Forget Me Not

Forgetful Forget Forget me not

I am no saint nor sent of God
At times it is wise to act unwise

Forget not
Forgetful Forget
How I Helped gather the smithereens

How,

When in willows you wallowed
When in anguish you languished
This place you now loathe
Played just the perfect haven

See,

Its the same language you spoke
Prior to plunging into medleys of conundrums
Sleekly shod as you trampled upon
A would be messiah unknown

As you preen in petals of glitz
Forget,
Lest you forget
Lest history remembers to remember,

The truths untold
The jibes unheard
The empty promises made
Typical of a hypocritical bachelor
Too stingy like a bateleur

Forget me not forgetful Forget

As you glitter in petals of glamour
Remember to remember Reggie
