Forged Signature Poem by Jennifer Sollmann

Forged Signature

Everything you do is so sweet
I can’t imagine you without me
But I’m cut out of the picture
My face burned away
Secret passion held still
Your face held in high esteem
Your eyes portals to another world
My love for you transcends it all
But remains hidden in a closet
Your voice, oh so comforting
I wish you could see
The emotion you invoke in me
The temptation you always bring
The child like nervousness you render
Something so sweet and innocent
Gone corrupt and soiled
Love me, I plead
Until then I suffer in cloned attraction
A forged signature of the heart
