Forever Yours Poem by vennila moothoosamy

Forever Yours

Gave up existence,
to seek living by your side,
to drown my breath in yours in sweet cadence,
forever by the lakeside.

Ripples danced in the lake,
birds chirped fully awake,
for me, nature itself seemed dead,
forever consumed by your radiantly fair head.

My heart hammered like mad,
Our breath held when lips met,
Our heartbeats rhyming to a ballad,
to me, you were innocence deeply set,
as pure as the shimmering moonlight,
in the silvery night.
