For you

I hope only for time to spend learning for you
I try and train my mind to be your learning tool
I know there's only so much that you will learn from me
That's why I think it's clutch that I must achieve
Nothing will stop you from learning the truth in life
This is why I started walking in the footsteps into light
I've followed the directions that my mother has given to me
She said believe and have faith your life is in the hands of He
I pray you do the same through life's adversities
Until then I'm steadfast in the Lord thinking of your possibilities

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This poem started as a letter to my 3yr old son at the timeit was written. I spun it into a poem to let him know when he got to the stage of understanding that I always thought about him regardless of what others may think or say. And to let him know that myself and our Lord will always love him forever.

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
