For The Girl-Child Poem by indira babbellapati

For The Girl-Child

You left
A dropp of you
Within me

The droplet
Became my whole!

I carried you
Lovingly for what
Seemed a life-time

The other day
You kicked life
Out of me
Your semen containing
The designer chromosomes
Irreversible in their uniqueness
Lie around puddles of blood
That drained life out of me
Much despised by your male ego!

*A man recently kicked life/ves out of his wife for carrying a girl-child...

it took much time to think what to write on this poem...what mockery and what outrage of human life, decency, civilization...: (

No words are strong enough to deplore this beastly act. Maa'm the poetic expression of this social evil in our society is an alarm signal to to the pundits of society, an wake up call. Just as The designer chromosomes Irreversible in their uniqueness so shall be the result of such ghastly acts.
