For Sure

I know
that fish
swim in the water
and birds
fly in the sky

I know
that giraffes
roam the African savannas
and moles
live underground

I know
that kangeroos
hop along the Australian out back
and alligators
populate the everglades

I know
that beavers
build dams
and bears
use the winter to sleep

But I also know
that your love isn't mine
and that you and me
will never become we
