For My Dearest Friend Poem by Tameeka Smith

For My Dearest Friend

You have an awesome sense of humor
You are so very funny
As a great friend
You bring out the best in me
Friends since the 90's
Man how time flys
At times it's hard to believe
We share a lot of memories
Hanging out at Harry's
And eating at Harpoon Larry's
Both of us becoming mothers
Even with distance between us
We are still there for one another
You are one of my dearest friends
Please don't ever forget it
We will be friends
Long after we are old and decrepit
Yes I have to crack a joke
I simply cannot help it
We are for life
Anyone can place a bet on it
Just a few words
To show that I care
And I want you to know
That I am not
Going anywhere
