For Friendships To Last
He was my friend, higher than me in rank.
The difference was perceptible
To me in my manners towards him
And in his manner towards me as well.
He is no longer my friend.
He was my friend, lower than me in rank.
The difference was perceptible
To me in his manner towards me
But not in my manner towards him.
He is still my friend.
