For Ever Poem by Roy Storey

For Ever

Rating: 5.0

Thinking of dust filled fields
with dry stokes of rice.
Others with small bush tomatoes
plants that look like coquets
and taste like cucumber.
Sweet corn
fishing pools,
dust traks that go to nowhere.
Each day
to the next.
life after life
for ever.

What a wonderful word painting, Roy! World class indeed. Write on, my poet friend. As always, Sandra

The whole cycle of life is depicted, so skillfully, in few condensed words
