Footprints Poem by Janet Davison

Footprints

There shall come a time
A time that a few take pride in
A time I shall take pride in
A time my story will be told.

During this time, my body and flesh
Will be part of the humus of the earth
But that is not going to declare my end
Because my stoy will still go on.

My story will be a source of inspiration to many
My story will be an anchor for many
My foot prints will be clearly and deeply engraved
In the hearts of the earth, long after I am gone.
