Fool Poem by Mona Mia

Fool

Rating: 3.5

How I can I move on
With my life
When every time I see you
I start to cry
How I can I relieve myself
Of the pain I feel inside

Used to believe
in fairytales
Used to wish my dreams
When others failed
Now I only dream
nightmares in my mind

I wanna love you
Till there’s nothing left
I wanna hold you
Like my last breath
There’s just one thing missing here

I’m just a fool
I shouldn’t love, love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you just don’t care
Yeah I’m just a fool
I know I shouldn’t love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you’re just not there

Coulda seen it coming
From ‘cross the way
The trouble that ensued
When you said my name
The little bitty butterflies
That tinkered in my brain

I knew I shouldn’t have
Gotten attached
But boy you reeled me in
And very fast
I didn’t see it coming
Until it was in my face

I wanna kiss you
All over the place
I wanna know you
And close up the space
There’s just one small detail to tell

I’m just a fool
I shouldn’t love, love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you just don’t care
Yeah I’m just a fool
I know I shouldn’t love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you’re just not there

And so here I am
Crying in shame
Letting the winds of sorrow
Kiss my pain
Maybe on day I learn
To fall correctly
But until then
It’s still the same thing

I’m just a fool
I shouldn’t love, love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you just don’t care
Yeah I’m just a fool
I know I shouldn’t love you
I wish you could see
The love there for me
But you’re just not there
