Flutter By Poem by Jenny Amelia Jones

Flutter By

I marked a kindred spirit in eddying flight:
Gilded wings in open prayer embraced
The alcoves of my mind, as I traced
The pilgrim to fashion beauty in my sight,
The countenance of heavens sweetest prism
Draws me forth, enchanted path fans
A deeper joy within: wings flutter, eyes scan,
An infinite image of a greater mysticism,
Seldom I in the heartbeat of the day
Rearrange the shadows of my mind,
Nourished by the sphere that binds the clay,
In a flicker, sunrise to sunset, glories mankind:
An eternity that rests on a breath in time
Transfigures the days drift - sublime!
