Flowering Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Flowering

My arid heart is like a desert flower
In a drought waiting to be empowered
Soothed by the gentle coolness of twilight
Preparing to bloom when the time is right

My blush is not dependent on absorption
Or a script written in an obvious fashion
Now as the sun is rising I am open-minded
No longer is my happiness narrowly blinded

Self-confidence gives me the power to revive
Learning to recognize that beauty is inside
A fresh flourishing spectrum is now endowed
Dispersing self-imposed doubting clouds

Beautiful! beauty is inside, in the soul; yes, well said, no more clouds of self-doubt. Love yourself cause you're beautiful inside. Great!
