My poems are all just flower poems,
isn't this a flower world?
Flowers, flowers, all over
pick the flower of a clover
maybe it will bring you luck,
maybe it will bring you love
there's no love in this world.
Flowers, flowers, starry eyes
don't flowers grow in the sky?
They grow all around here,
cemeteries always have flowers.
Oh really, is that so?
Dead girls can't write flower poems?
But I know all about the flowers
we've got flowers of lots of colors
that grow off all my never-brothers
and all my sweet never-sisters
who never died like my sister;
orange flowers and pink little violets,
does that make me Jesse?
Don't we all have 'J' names in my family?
All the boys are 'Jo'
but do we all write flower poems?
Jesse loves flowers.
