Flow Poem by Michelle Dragonfly

Flow

"Forgive and forget."
"They didn't know
What they were doing."
"Just brush it off! "

Words of advice,
Well-meant.
But useless.
Sadly, sadly useless.

Enraged, betrayed,
I sit and stare.
How did I provoke you?
Do I even care?

I put up with you
For far too long!
I'm glad to be rid of you!
Aren't I?

I'm not so sure.
You were a friend.
Not a great one, I'll admit,
But a friend is a friend.

Yet would a friend
Treat me the way
You've always treated me?
I think not!

But I simply sit
And seethe
And never say a word.

Oh my, oh me,
What a coward
I prove to be!

It's happened before.
It'll happen again.

That's the way the anger flows.
