Flippancy Poem by Sally Plumb Plumb

Flippancy

Rating: 4.5

She would love a man
for his money,
she would love a man
for his car,
but....
she would not marry one
for good looks
as many a woman could admire
a handsome countenance
and would aspire
to the conquest
of the fickle beast
then of his body
make a feast.

So.... she'll spend
the money
and be aware
there's many a fickle beast
to spare.

Loved this poem. It has a deep message and an apt title. 'and would aspire to the conquest of the fickle beast then of his body make a feast.' Well written.

I'm sure many women have married for money and probably lived to regret the absence of love.
