Treasure Island

Lynne FincherSpringarden

Flight at First Light

On the periphery of reality
There lies a paradise

When life becomes too dismal
I don't have to think twice

I retreat into my thoughts
And make my great escape

When I reach my destination
There will be no mistake

I'll gaze at bright horizons
Make castles in the sand

The wind will serenade me
The light will never end

The waves of sound and sea
Caress my cheek with mist

The joy of free abandon
My spirit can't resist
