Flight Poem by Monica Lanier

Flight

I saw a blue jay today
As I approached it ran away
So intrigued i wondered
What would come it's way
I imagined its plight
I pondered its flight
Up into great heights
Flying free
Doing somersaults against the breeze
Art on the back drop of the green trees
Vividly beautiful
A spiritual reminder
A God given gift
Like you and me
All things that are meant to be
I amply agree
A magnificent masterpiece
